Challenges
The large, readily accessible roof space with modern steel construction provided the perfect blank canvas for the SunPeople design and install teams. There were 2 key obstacles to overcome; the skylight roof sheets posed a safety risk, as they could not hold the weight of a person, and there was no obvious way to get the solar panels onto the roof.
Outcomes
The installation was completed in 1 week by our expert installers. To overcome the skylight issue, timber walkways and safety bollards were installed to ensure there was safe access at all times. Material access was managed by hiring a crane to quickly and safely lift the panels and mounting system onto the roof.
