The NSW Government’s Home Energy Saver program is now offering zero-interest loans of up to $15,000 to help eligible households make energy-saving upgrades more affordable. (Source: energy.nsw.gov.au)


For battery installations, this can also be bundled with the Federal Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program, helping eligible households reduce upfront costs even further.

The Home Energy Saver loan can be used for a range of eligible home energy upgrades.

Who may be eligible?
According to the NSW Government, to be eligible for a Home Energy Saver loan, you must:
Be the owner of the property
Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
Have a combined annual taxable household income of up to $210,000
Loan approval is subject to the requirements of the Home Energy Saver program and the participating loan providers.
