Why Kiama & the coastal villages suit solar
Kiama shares the Illawarra's strong solar resource, with a few local details worth getting right: coastal exposure, heritage streetscapes and a mix of beachfront and rural-residential properties out towards Jamberoo and Berry.
Strong coastal sun
Around 4.5–4.8 peak sun hours a day, close to Wollongong's resource and well suited to a standard residential system.
Heritage-aware design
Older homes around Kiama's town centre and Jamberoo occasionally sit within heritage overlays. We check street-visibility rules before locking in panel placement.
Storm-outage backup
A battery keeps essentials running through the coastal storms that occasionally cut power around Kiama and Gerringong.
