Project overview
Sylvan Glen is a wedding venue in the Southern Highlands of NSW, also operating a golf course and overnight accommodation. The region is prone to blackouts and intermittent power issues, so the project scope grew to include a PV system, full switchboard rewiring, and provisions for future generator supply.
challenge
Set on a rural property with ageing electrical infrastructure, Sylvan Glen's power usage wasn't well understood, with peak loads occurring on weekends and at night. Energy monitoring was needed to accurately size the PV system.
outcome
SunPeople's electricians replaced the main switchboard and rewired the meter panel to ensure safety and compliance, and installed an energy monitoring device for three months prior to installation to accurately size the system.
