Project overview
SunPeople was engaged to design, supply and install a 99kW PV system on a high-rise commercial rooftop in Wollongong CBD. The project's primary objective was to install enough PV capacity to offset the building's air-conditioning costs.
challenge
Limited roof space made it difficult to fit the required capacity, calling for a combination of high-powered panels and an optimised inverter system to reach the full 99kW. The building's prominent, high-traffic CBD location added further design complications.
outcome
SunPeople completed the installation within the six-week timeframe, with minimal disruption to the building's tenants and their strict operating requirements. The 99kW system has continued to outperform its original production estimates.
