This commercial project was the third PV system to be installed for the discerning client. This multi-tenanted property on the outskirts of the CBD is home to a local government department. The scope for this project included minimum noise and disruption to the tenants and an expedited install timeframe.

Challenges
The most challenging aspect of this system was the limited roof space available to install a large quantity of panels. The tall and slim building has multiple plantrooms and pipework to over 50% of the roof. To the north, there is a parapet shading the concrete roof, this posed a serious design challenge.
Outcomes
The SunPeople design team had to think outside-the-box to overcome the challenges. Panels were installed to the north-facing concrete awning to ensure maximum sun exposure. The SolarEdge inverter system gave us confidence to install southfacing panels as well, as DC Optimisers allow each panel to produce power indipendantly.
